The Future of The Old Front Porch |

Dear Friends,
I feel that it is time to reflect on where The Old Front Porch has been and where it is going. We've been around for over five years now. We've had some great times and built some wonderful friendships.
Things are always changing- for better or for worse. . . change is inevitable. The world online has changed quite a bit since we first went online. Online communication has changed drastically. The way that we communicate and often the types of communications we have online are vastly different. I also sense that there have been some real changes what interests us and what we'd like to see online. Perhaps The Old Front Porch isn't meeting your current needs or interests. . . Perhaps The Old Front Porch could fill a need or inspire you.
In addition, for me personally, life has really changed in the past five years. I know I haven't been around here on the Porch as much as I would like. As I look to the future, I'm trying to balance my ideas for the porch, our members interest, and the time that others and myself can contribute towards this community. We could build up the porch or even a sister website to be many, many things. Or perhaps it would be better to "close" the doors and just have a yahoo or facebook group. There are many different directions to take for the Porch that I need guidance as to which way to go.
While I know that God will provide me with guidance, I also want guidance from you, our members. I've always felt that this isn't as much my place as it is your place. I feel that The Old Front Porch is at a real crossroads. I really want your feedback!
I know this survey may seem rather lengthy but I really hope you will take the time to complete it. I do hope you'll take the time to think about your own interests and desires and give honest answers.
I'm going to use the answers to this survey as well as the participation in this survey as a guage for the future of The Old Front Porch. God Bless, Amy |
